Payment
PAYMENTS
Payment for appointments conducted in-person are accepted in the form of cash, personal check or Zelle. Telehealth services can be paid using Zelle. All payments are due at the time of service. Credit cards are not accepted at this time.
COST OF SERVICE
The cost varies depending on the service provided and the length of the session. The fee for a 45-min individual session is $300. Reduced rates are offered based on availability and need. In addition to reduced fees, some insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits to reduce the overall burden of cost to the member. See below for more information on out-of-network benefits.
OUT-OF-NETWORK INSURANCE BENEFITS
**Please check with your insurance company to ensure that your current out-of-network behavioral health benefits include telehealth services if you plan to meet remotely at any point during our work together.**
If you have an insurance plan, you can contact your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network coverage. Insurance plans that offer out-of-network benefits reimburse their members a portion of the cost of each session, sometimes after meeting a deductible. Many insurance companies do not call attention to these benefits even when included in a plan. To find out if you have out-of-network coverage, call your insurance provider and ask the following questions:
SUBMITTING OUT-OF-NETWORK CLAIMS
When you use out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with a monthly invoice for services paid-in-full called a Superbill. Superbills include the information required by most insurance companies to request out-of-network reimbursement and many insurers now make it possible to submit the Superbill directly and electronically, so there are no forms to complete and nothing to mail. Your insurance company will reimburse you according to your specific out-of-network plan.
SELF PAY
Those who do not have out-of-network benefits can self-pay and are encouraged to ask about sliding scale fee options before your first appointment. I am no longer in-network with any insurance plans as of January 1, 2020.

- Is there an out-of-network deductible?
- Will I be reimbursed a flat fee or a percentage?
- How much can I expect to be reimbursed when seeing a psychologist for a 45 minute therapy session [or insert the session type]?
- If a percentage is covered, is this a percentage of the fee set by my provider or is it a percentage of a maximum fee set by the insurer? If a standard maximum fee, what is that fee?
